Ethical Approval at SRD

Ethical Approval

At the Society for Research and Development (SRD), ethical approval is a cornerstone of our commitment to responsible and impactful research. Every project undergoes a rigorous evaluation process designed to ensure that it adheres to the highest ethical standards—safeguarding the rights, dignity, and welfare of all participants while upholding research integrity and public trust.

Our comprehensive Ethical Approval process comprises six key steps: researchers submit detailed proposals outlining methodologies, risk assessments, informed consent procedures, and data privacy measures; an initial screening identifies potential ethical concerns; an in-depth evaluation ensures compliance with both national and international standards; constructive feedback guides necessary revisions; final approval is granted once all criteria are met; and continuous monitoring is maintained throughout the project lifecycle to promptly address any emerging issues.

6 STEPS

Ethical Approval Process

Proposal Submission:

Researchers submit detailed proposals that include methodologies, risk assessments, informed consent procedures, and data privacy measures.

Initial Screening:

A preliminary review is conducted to identify any potential ethical concerns and to ensure the proposal aligns with established ethical guidelines.

In-Depth Evaluation:

Our Ethical Board performs a thorough assessment of the proposal, scrutinizing every aspect to confirm compliance with both national and international ethical standards.

Feedback & Revision:

Researchers receive constructive feedback and recommendations for necessary modifications to address any ethical issues effectively.

Final Approval:

Once all revisions are made and the proposal meets all ethical requirements, final approval is granted to proceed with the research.

Ongoing Monitoring:

The project is continuously monitored throughout its lifecycle to ensure sustained adherence to ethical standards and to promptly address any emerging concerns.
